Christmas Party Looks – Whatever the Occasion

Three party occasions, three outfits – get your party outfit on!

Due to the pandemic, most of us haven’t had many occasions to get dressed up for. So, I say, no matter what the occasion is, get your glad rags on!

Work Christmas Party – Formal Dinner and Disco

I always like to opt for something glamorous yet comfortable for a work occasion. Quite often, there will be a sit-down dinner followed by dancing. So, I pick an outfit that I can sit in, eat in and dance in – including fabulous yet dance-worthy shoes.

I love my ever-faithful black velvet jacket with satin collar from @alexa_chung @MarksandSpencer. It’s smart enough to be formal whilst being glitzy. For a work party, I chose my uber-glamorous hot red jump suit. It has a waistband to give me some waist shaping and the V-neck gives a sexy feel. Team all of this with a fabulous handbag (to dance around of course!), some sparkly earrings and best dancing shoes. My favourite party shoes are my @KarenMillen black strappy sandals. The heel is just perfect for elegance and for twirling around the dance floor of course!

Christmas Lunch with Friends – Sparkly and Stylish

Meeting up with your friends for lunch is always a good excuse for a special outfit but it’s fun to add a bit of sparkle for the festive season!

In this look, I’ve opted for a sheer leopard print t-shirt from @Primark teamed with an @HollisterCoUK black lace bralette underneath. My skirt is not only pleated (for extra swoosh) but is also gold and sparkly! My @Dune_London boots are warm, comfortable and being leather, will withstand any downpours you may encounter en-route to meet with your friends. I love this looks, its flouncy, fabulous and just on the right side of flirtatious!

Christmas Day dinner with the Family – Full of Christmas fun!

I’ve not always dressed up on Christmas day. With three children, I’d be lucky for a face wash and hair brush (!). But now my kids are old enough to be more independent, I feel it’s time for a new tradition of making the effort on the big day (of course until Christmas lunch has been enjoyed, and then expandable pyjamas are totally acceptable!).

My @Phase_Eight green polka dot dress is perfect for such an occasion. It’s a good festive colour and is light and airy – not something that is going to make you overheat while basting that turkey! And remember to team it with a fun Christmassy apron to protect it when cooking!

My red suede shoes were a bargain find in my local charity shop. A quick revitalising of the suede (see my previous blog for great tips) and they were perfect. Comfortable, stylish and teamed with my green dress couldn’t get more festive!

So ladies (gentlemen and children) – why not pull out all of the stops for every social event this year – Go Big, Go Bold, Go Glam and Go Glitzy – it is, after all, the Season to be Jolly!
